Cordelia

Though not an incorporated area, a very large subdivision growing up off the HWY 680 cutoff, Cordelia is as much a part of Benicia, as Fairfield or Suisun. Cordelia has been annexed to Fairfield for municipal services, but the artinez Bridge and Benicia are just 10 minutes away (population and schools information shows up as Fairfield).

City of Dixon

In The Heartland Of California

Dixon combines a proud tradition of agricultural production reaching back to the 1860’s with a contemporary vision as a thriving residential community and emerging business center. From its earliest beginnings this city has been the commercial and transportation hub of the fertile agricultural region of northern Solano County, in California’s Sacramento Valley. Today, Dixon is a business friendly city in the fastest growing of the nine San Francisco Bay Area counties.

Dixon maintains small town charm while reaping the benefits of its ideal location between Sacramento and San Francisco, the two most dynamic metropolitan areas in Northern California. Transportation and commerce continue to play a defining role

given Dixon’s location along the growing Interstate 80 and continental railway corridor. Reasonable land prices and an affordable cost of living make Dixon a perfect place to live, work, and locate a business.

Dixon embraces an old fashioned way of life. Imagine well kept neighborhoods and tree-lined streets. On a balmy summer night, a backyard barbecue or a pick up game of softball in one of Dixon’s well-maintained parks is a common sight. It’s a community where neighbors know each other and look out for one another. Dixon schools have a good reputation, and are a safe place for learning and growth. And, located just five miles away is the University of California at Davis, one of the top research universities in the country. Two hours or less from Dixon are three of the most beautiful spots in California - Lake Tahoe, the Napa and Sonoma wine region and the rugged Northern Californian Coast.

The Dixon Library is housed in a
historical building in the downtown area of the city.
